in 2015 NASA sent up the Aquarius satellite its mission — to map the salinity of the Earth's oceans something essential for tracking climate change. 3 years later Aquarius was brought down at Point Nemo the furthest part of the Pacific from humanity. In 2023 artists Catherine McDonald and David Ian Bickley made an installation inspired by the mission for the Earth Rising Festival at The Irish Museum of Modern Art

Collaboration with artist Hina Kahn based on large scale ink drawings on paper / textile. Soundtrack constructed using Pakistan folk elements digitally process and augmented.

Mainly black and white with occasional subtle washes of luminous colour; Lighting and multichannel video and sound present images of storytelling and story gathering - It is intended that the whole gallery becomes a journey through the many enigmatic aspects of Samhain (Halloween), a modern digital environment that works in ancient almost organic ways to evoke mystery and magic.
